Canadian. 1830-1836. Hardwood veneer with inlaid bone door escutcheon. Horace Burr and his brother, Charles, sold clocks at Dundas, Upper Canada in the 1830-1836 period. This clock features a Terry-type wooden works movement. See page 148 of "Early Canadian Timekeepers" by Jane Varkaris and James E. Connell. An early Canadian merchant clock. Sold by Horace Burr, Dundas U.C. (Upper Canada). Scattered losses from the inner case label. Minor veneer losses. Requires one weight and a pendulum bob.
