Large brass dial has a silvered 12 in. chapter ring with applied gilt brass Arabic hour numbers, fancy scrolling gilt pierced center and spandrels, silvered sub seconds dial, sub dials for Chime-Silent & Westminster-Whittington, moon phase dial and Herschedes crown mark; quality brass movement has Graham deadbeat escapement, quarter hour strike with 9 tubes, 3 quality brass weights & pulleys and steel pendulum rod with brass covered bob, movement signed Herschedes, Cincinnati, 523. In a mahogany case with scroll carved crest, tapered pilasters on the bonnet and tapered pilasters on either side of the beveled door glass. In good condition and original finish. 94 in. high x 22 in. wide x 14 in. deep.

Monumental Mahogany 9 Tube Grandfather Clock. Quality signed Elliot, London movement has brass dial with fancy gilt pierced filigree in the center and spandrels, has a 12 in. silvered dial with applied brass Arabic hour numbers, fancy blued pierced hands, silvered sub seconds dial, moon phase, Silent-Chime and Whittington-Westminster dials. Quality brass, weight driven movement has Graham deadbeat escapement, stamped on the back H&H in a rectangle (Harris & Harrington) and stamped J.J. Elliot, London in an oval, numbered 5449; large brass cylinder attached to the movement plays Westminster and Whittington on 9 silvered tubes signed, Harris & Harrington, 3 quality brass weights and pulleys, quality brass pendulum bob with steel stick. The massive mahogany case has fluted turned columns on the bonnet with a large carved crest with leaf scrolls and flame finial centered over a lions head; the body has more turned columns over corbelled corners and fancy carvings. In very good condition and very good running condition. 104 in. high x 30 in. wide x 22 in. deep

Hershchede Pattern 50 Mahogany 9 Tube Grandfather Clock. 12 in. silvered dial signed ÂThe Frank Herschede Co., Cincinnati with applied brass hour numbers, silvered sub seconds dial, moon phase with silvered arch, sub dials for Chime/Silent & Westminster/Whittington chimes, brass back plate with fancy pierced gilt brass filigree decorated center and corner spandrels and pierced hands; brass weight driven movement marked ÂGermany has Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, quality brass weights, pulleys and pendulum bob with steel pendulum stick and has 9 silvered tubes signed ÂHerschede Hall Clock, Cincinnati, O, Crown Symphony TubeÂ. In a beautiful carved mahogany case with arched bonnet top, medallion crest, carved filigree on the frieze, pierced carved side panels and turned columns on the corners with carved capitols; the body has a long beveled glass door with turned columns having carved capitols, inset carved panel in the base with turned corner columns and stands on carved claw feet. In very good condition, case has an excellent original finish. 88.5 in. high x 27 in. wide x 18 in. deep.

Herschedes 5 Tube Mahogany Grandfather Clock. 12 in. round brass dial has a silvered chapter ring with applied brass hour numbers and fancy pierced gilt filigree center, sub seconds dial, pierced black hands with strike/silent & chime/silent levers; quality brass weight driven 8 day movement with deadbeat escapement, long silvered pendulum rod with brass covered bob, 3 brass covered weights and brass pulleys, chimes Westminster on 4 silvered tubes and the hour on a fifth tube which are each numbered 378, movement signed with Herschedes crown mark and numbered 60948. In a mahogany case with arched top, long smooth turned side columns, beveled glasses on the sides, door and round beveled glass in front of the dial, has polished original finish, case is stamped with numbers 10, 206 & 990 with 206 repeating on each part. 76 in. high x 25.5 in. wide x 15 in. deep.

Has blued pierced hands, silvered chapter ring w/ applied brass Arabic numbers, sub seconds dial, and chime/silent & Westminster/Whittington sub dials, pierced swirling filigree in the center & spandrels with moon phase dial of a painted sea shore scene & sailing ship, signed with Herschedes Trade Mark; quality brass, weight driven movement, has Graham deadbeat escapement, 3 quality weights & pulleys, long brass pendulum with brass bob & steel stick, 9 tubes. In an elaborate carved mahogany case with swirling filigree & cornucopias of fruit with a center urn & flame finial on the crest, carved pilasters on the bonnet with beveled door glass; the body of the case has figural carved mountain men on the corners, holding a sash at their waste, over mythical faces, hanging fruits and inverted corbel supports below, the door and side glasses have filigree and medallion carved overlays with carved trim work. In good overall condition, case has minor wear to the crest, movement is in good running condition; 4 tubes have cracks at the ends. 106 in. high x 28 in. wide x 17 in. wide.

Carved R.J. Horner & J.J. Elliot Oak 9 Tube Grandfather Clock. Large brass dial has a silvered 12 in. chapter ring with applied brass hour numbers, sub seconds dial, moon phase, sub dials for Chime/Silent & Westminster/Whittington, has fancy pierced blued hands, pierced gilt & engraved filigree center and corner spandrels, dial signed by the movement maker “Elliot, London” and retailed by Duryea & Potter, New York”. The brass weight driven movement has a Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, brass pulleys, brass covered weights & pendulum bob with long steel stick; movement signed “J.J. Elliot, London, 4585” and “H&H”, has 9 tubes striking Westminster and Whittington, also striking the hour, tubes are signed Harris & Harrington “436”. In an original finish carved R.J. Horner oak case with arched bonnet top having large turned finials, double columns on the sides and figural winged griffin corbels on the corners; the body of the case has large figural rattail maidens with arms crossed at their breast and double spiral twisted sea-serpent tails, beveled glass on the sides and oval front door. The base has a large carved inset front panel with swirling filigree, winged birds and center medallion with reclining putti in the center; inset side panels have swirling filigree and opposite facing heads at the top, stands on large turned and carved bun feet. 104 in. high x 31 in. wide x 17.5 in. deep
