High quality 8-day Brass three weight movement by “Joseph Jennens, Skinner Street, Clerkenwell, London” with quarter hour striking on eight bells (Whittington) or four coiled gongs (Westminster) with fifth hour gong, finely engraved Brass dial with Silvered Chapter, seconds, Chime/Silent and Chime selector rings with upper painted Moon phase with Silvered date register and hemispheres. Exceptionally well carved case attributed to R. J. Horner & Co. with Gothic spires, upper Jester figure and hood side balcony’s supported by carved Gargoyles, carved open work waist door and lower panel with mask and Gothic tracery, carved linen-fold side panels. Original dark finish with slight wear, some tarnish on dial, running and striking and chiming correctly when cataloged. 107″ high overall.

Mahogany case with arched, molded top, contrasting panels, single long door and molded base. In running order. Old finish with minor wear. 78Â high.
