A turn of the century Herschede Pattern No. 87 hall clock. 8-day weight driven two train movement with striking on nine tubular chimes, arched Brass dial with painted moon phases and engraved hemispheres, a Silvered chapter ring with Arabic numerals and subsidiary dials for seconds, Whittington/Westminster/Silent, Strike/Silent, engraved filigreed spandrels and dial center, serial #6530, damascened plates. Mahogany Neoclassical style case with hand carved decoration features a molded pediment crown above an arched opening over a single long door with beveled glass panels flanked by full length turned columns on a stepped molded base with gadrooned feet. Original finish with minor wear, running when cataloged. 97" high. ESTIMATE $2,000-3,000
