Brass dial signed Herschede has an 11 in. silvered chapter ring with applied brass hour numbers, silvered sub seconds dial, moon phase with silvered arch, sub dials for Chime/Silent & Westminster/ Whittington/ Canterbury chimes, fancy pierced brass and engraved center & corner spandrels with pierced hands; brass 8 day weight driven movement signed Herschede, 635679 with crown, has deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, quality brass pulleys, brass covered weights & pendulum bob with lyre sash and steel pendulum stick, 9 silvered tubes. In an excellent burled walnut case highlighted with brass strapped corners and edges, Bombay style base, broken arch crest with seashell pediment and carved corner finials; brass plaque inside of the door reads American Made By Herschede The Clock Model 250. Excellent condition and original finish, has original owners manual dated Feb. 23, 1977, has original door and winding key. 97 in. high x 24 in. wide x 14 in. deep.
