A 1920-30's Period Herschede hall clock. 8-day weight driven three train movement with quarter hour striking on five tubular chimes, arched Brass dial with painted moon phases and engraved hemispheres, a Silvered chapter ring with Arabic numerals and subsidiary dial for seconds, Chime/Silent indicator lever, engraved filigreed spandrels and dial center, damascened plates. Mahogany Chippendale style case features an arched molded pediment with turned finial above a single long door with shaped dial glass and beveled lower, flanked by turned fluted columns on a paneled base with carved feet. Original dark finish with some wear, running when cataloged. 87" high. ESTIMATE $800-1,200
