Heinrich Fischer Wien scarce 4 dial hanging regulator. See “Beautiful Vienna Regulators of the 19th Century” by Victor Kochaver, pages 82-83.

(No major faults discovered; The case has been well refinished/restored. One upper door ear reglued & lowest finial possibly replaced, also there are well done repairs to the crown; running at time of listing, but not guaranteed to continue)

German Hanns Geiel, Wien Serpentine Case Single Weight Vienna Regulator Timepiece, Circa 1865, 7″ enamel dial signed Hanns Geiel, Wien, 8-day, brass timepiece movement, lovely Vienna regulator in a serpentine case, movement is mounted with wood brackets, a well made early clock in a very desirable style case, movement in excellent condition, case with minor insect damage, a good finisher could easily make this clock more beautiful. Height 44″.

The present wall clock was designed by Heinrich Tessenow and manufactured at the Deutsche Werksttten in Dresden-Hellerau in 1912. The clock has a brass mechanical movement, striking the half-hour and hour on gong spiral. The rectangular wooden casing is fitted with a square clock face painted in white and bearing black hands and black Roman numerals. The clock also features two brass weights and a pendulum with a brass pendulum bob.

The wall clock is in good condition with only small traces of age and use. There is an old typographic label on the verso side of the casing, reading ‘Deutsche Werksttten. Heinrich-Tessenow-Uhr, 1912‘. The overall dimensions are 24.5 x 24.5 x 9 cm (height x width x depth). The clock ran well during a short-time test; but long term precision and durance cannot be guaranteed. (cbo)
