English Double Fusee Mahogany Bracket Clock. 7″ convex painted iron dial signed “Samuel Martin, Cheltenham” has black Roman hour numerals, black painted hands and hinged round brass door bezel with convex crystal; brass 8 day double fusee spring driven movement has an engraved rear plate, heavy brass covered engraved pendulum bob with lockdown and hour bell strike. The mahogany gothic revival case having a beehive form with turned finials, triple cluster columns on the front, brass side handles and brass ball feet. Overcoated original finish, replaced upper finial, missing suspension spring, replaced hour hand. Samuel Martin opened on “The Strand” in Cheltenham in 1808, which later became Martin & Co. to which a Royal Warrant was presented by Queen Victoria in 1838. Dimensions: 23″ high x 10.75″ wide x 7″ deep. Weight: 19.25 lbs.

Joseph Dodds, London Double Fusee Bracket Clock, last 1/4 18th c, gilt lacquered and chinoiserie decorated case needing restoration, silvered and brass dial with applied cast spandrels, Strike/Silent switch in arch, calendar window, signed to dial, back plate of movement with ornate engraving, pediment top with bail handle, raised on noce cut out bracket base, 24 .5" tall to top of handle, runs and strikes, should be overhauled, dial mask missing 2 small pieces, considerable finish chipping and losses, would be gorgeous restored!!!!!

George 3rd bracket clock in a mahogany case by James Wild London (signed) with Roman and Arabic numbers. Bronze face with the date and strike silence selector, 8-day twin fusee movement striking every hour (single bell). Bronze movement, key available. In good working order, the wood case is in good condition but consistent with age. The clock measures 40cm tall handle is not included x 28.5 cm at the base.
