Congreve clocks are named after Sir William Congreve, who claimed invention in 1808. The ball runs down the zigzag track tripping the escapement, which in turn reverses the tilt of the tray and causes the hands of the clock to move forward. 14 1/2 x 12 1/2 x 12".
