American. 1930s. This clock features a synchronous movement which would allow it to be linking along with other clocks to provide the exact same time on each synched clock. Marked, "Manufactured in USA for Postal Telegraph by Hammond Clock Co. SX 15" lower dial. Dial exhibits heavy uniform craze. Bezel is oxidized. 20" x 20" x 4".

Whitehall Hammond Onyx Deco Electric Clock. Green onyx mantle clock case with round top, cold painted spelter figural birds on either side of the dial; has a 5 in. silvered dial with brass hour numbers, sweep seconds hand and an electric movement. Case is in very good condition with no breaks or repairs, movement is not running. 10.5 in. high x 15.5 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.

(The clock is not running, both ash trays have a chip, one is tiny, one is a bit larger on the surface. The one with the larger chip has a fair sized edge chip also.)
