Description: Antique Hamilton Clock Co., Ont. Canada OG Shelf Clock: T&S with a painted metal dial with visible brass movement. In a veneered case with the door decorated with Mary and Child. The clock has the weights and an interior label. Stamped inside the case and on the door is “Pearce Jewelers, Chesley”. Not tested.

Dimensions: 26″ Tall

Condition Report: Not tested. The dial has small chips plus the paint on the door is chipped. There are small damages to the bottom edge of the case. Sells as is, where is.

Notes: This clock may be packed and shipped and insured by UPS Store at the buyer’s expense.

This clock was the company’s salute to Sir Leonard Tilley, Canada’s finance minister that implemented the “National Policy” imposing a 35% tariff on imported clocks (Connell & Varkaris, 1986, p.88) This example retains an original etched tablet and original dial.
