A Good turn of the century Gustav Becker open well wall clock. 8-day time and strike spring driven movement with arched Silvered dial, Brass spandrels and Arabic numerals, original gridiron pendulum with cast figural bob, Freiburg in Schl G. B. "Anchor" trademark on backplate, serial #1426262. Fancy Oak case with applied Brass decorations features a spindled gallery with Brass finials on a carved molded plinth over a molded pediment crown with beaded drops and "shingled" roof, arched molded dial door over an arched frieze with Brass finials and a open well with Brass rail balcony all flanked by full turned columns and carved detail and inlaid Brass bands over shaped bracket supports with scalloped design and large drop finial. Older refinishing with minor wear, movement dirty but running when cataloged. 49" high overall. ESTIMATE $2,000-4,000
