Gilbert Clock Co. ÂShell Model Lunar Dial Calendar Mantle Clock. 6 in. paper dial has black hands, inset center dial is Hayden’s patent, has 3 indicators pointing to 31 dates, moon phases and more; has a pierced brass spring driven movement with count wheel hour strike mechanism, steel bell and JacotÂs patented pendulum. In GilbertÂs ÂShell model walnut case with overhanging arched top having a large shell crest, long teardrop finials, carved corbels with rosettes and reverse etched door glass. In good condition and original finish. 22 in. high x 14 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

Gilbert Wall Hanging HaydenÂs Patent Dial Calendar Clock. 6 in. painted metal dial with HaydenÂs patented calendar complex center dial insert indicating date, moon phase, lunar hours of the day and more; pierced brass 8 day spring driven movement with a brass & steel gridiron pendulum with center faux mercurial jar. In a carved walnut case with arched top, teardrop finials, pediment top with turned finial and maidens head, a carved lower bracket and original reverse decorated door glass. In very good condition with an excellent original finish with an enhanced finish on the bracket. 34 in. high x 13 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

Gilbert ÂOriental Calendar Mantle Clock. 8 in. paper dial has black Roman hour numerals and black hands, pierced brass spring driven movement with half hour count wheel strike mechanism and coiled gong, signed Wm. Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn. USA. Reverse painted door glass is black with a pair of birds nesting in the reeds of a pond, has gilt borders around 3 open apertures exposing the month, date and day on 3 rotating discs of the calendar movement attached to the back of the door. In an oak case with turned bar crest piece, fish scale carved frieze, teardrop turnings on the sides over carved corbels and beaded border on the door frame. In good condition and original finish, original door glass, dial, calendar discs, original paper labels are excellent and timepiece & calendar are in running condition. 27 in. high x 15 in. wide x 5 in. deep.

Reverse painted door glass is black with a group of 3 pheasants nesting in the grass, has gilt borders around 3 open apertures exposing the month, date and day on 3 rotating discs of the calendar movement attached to the back of the door. In an oak case with turned finials, spiral turned bars along the frieze, spiral turned columns on the sides with back corbels and beaded border on the door frame. In good condition and enhanced original finish, original door glass, dial, calendar discs, original paper labels are excellent and timepiece & calendar are in running condition. 31 in. high x 15.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.

Gilbert Office Drop Calendar Clock. 12 in. Paper dial, comprised of 3 discs, the front disc contains the chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and outer ring with 31 date calendar signed Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co. Winsted, Ct. has cutouts for the second disc containing the sequential days of the week with Sunday highlighted in red and finally a cutout at the top exposing the months; the red date indicator moves automatically while the clock is running and the rear dials are manually adjusted at each months end, dials have some typical wear from age. Has a brass, 8 day, time only movement with recoil escapement, brass covered pendulum bob and wood stick. In a walnut case having a crest with fancy scroll carvings, leaf, rosette and cornucopia carving below, revere painted lower door glass and lower crest with sea shell carving. In original finish and good running condition. 33.5 in. high
