Gilbert Maranville Calendar Wall Regulator. Original paper dial signed “Patented by Galusha Maraville, March 5th 1861” is comprised of 3 discs, the front disc contains the chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and outer ring with 31 date calendar, has cutouts for the second disc containing the sequential days of the week. Has a brass 8-day time only movement that is unsigned, brass covered pendulum bob and wooden stick. In a rosewood case with a reverse painted lower door glass that reads “Regulator.” Signed on the weight baffle “Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co.” Dimensions: 35 in. high x 15.5 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep. Weight: 22.50 lbs.

Gilbert No. 11 Wall Hanging Regulator with Replaced Movement & Dial. Period 8″ paper dial signed “Wm. L. Gilbert Co., Winsted, Conn” has black Roman hour numerals, inset sub seconds and Maltese hands; brass 8 day weight driven time only movement with Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, wood pendulum stick with brass covered bob and silvered brass pulley with silvered brass covered weight. In a walnut No. 11 case with turned spherical mounts on the carved crest, fancy carved frieze and lower bracket with incised highlights and inset walnut center panel. Replaced movement with extra holes in backboard, extra holes behind replaced dial, case is refinished, has unexplained cutouts on the backside of the door, repaired hole at door pull. The movement in this clock is replaced with the one found in the No. 10, smaller dial with winding arbor at “2” has been added. 49.5″ high x 17.5″ wide x 7.5″ deep. Weight: 24 lbs.

Gilbert Clock Co., Winsted, Conn.”, has black Roman hour numerals, pierced Maltese and inset sub seconds hands; brass 8 day weight driven time only movement with Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, wood pendulum stick with brass covered bob, beat indicator, silvered solid brass pulley and brass covered weight. In a carved oak case with glass sides, carved crest with spherical turnings, fish scale carved frieze, carved door and carved lower gallery with arched corbeled supports. Good overall refinished condition, replaced weight. 53″ high x 18.5″ wide x 7.75″ deep. Weight: 34.5 lbs.
