A late 19th century Gilbert "No. 11" model wall clock. 8-day dual weight time only movement with a papered metal dial, Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Oak case with carved decoration, shaped crest over a single long door and shaped drop with Burl panel. Refinished with minor wear, dial re-papered, running when cataloged. 50" high. Gilbert #10 1 Weight Wall Regulator Clock: 8 day, weight driven, with a deadbeat movement with seconds bit and a nice dial. In a great walnut case that is carved with burl panels and glass sides, nickel trim; with the wood rod, brass pendulum and weight.

According the Gilbert Book, the dial and movement are from a No. 10 because of the key slot and weight position. Plus this dial is 9 1/2″ Diameter – not 8″ Diameter.

Not tested.

Gilbert Maranville Calendar Wall Regulator. Original paper dial signed “Patented by Galusha Maraville, March 5th 1861” is comprised of 3 discs, the front disc contains the chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and outer ring with 31 date calendar, has cutouts for the second disc containing the sequential days of the week. Has a brass 8-day time only movement that is unsigned, brass covered pendulum bob and wooden stick. In a rosewood case with a reverse painted lower door glass that reads “Regulator.” Signed on the weight baffle “Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co.” Dimensions: 35 in. high x 15.5 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep. Weight: 22.50 lbs.

Gilbert No. 9 Oak Wall Hanging Regulator. 12 porcelain dial with black roman numerals, sweep second hand, open moon minute & hour hands, brass bezel; brass 8 day No. 9 movement, dead beat escapement, retaining power, quality brass weight, pulley & bob with wood stick, movement mounted on an iron bracket which is signed ÂW.L.G.C. Co.Â. In an oak case in with high carved crest and spindled gallery, inset burled backboard and carved lower bracket; refinished, missing top finials, dial has a few chips behind the bezel. 78 in. high x 22.5 in. wide x 8.5 in. deep.

In good overall condition, running, has an overcoated original finish. 53 in. high x 19 in. wide x 8 in. deep. Weight: 41 lbs.
