German, Black Forest musical mixed wood cuckoo clock, c. 1875, a delightful example of the craftsmanship found in Germany, bone hands on the dial and a carved botanical design to the case is visually pleasing while great attention has been paid to the aural element of this timepiece, “Star Spangled Banner” and “Conquerors Waltz” play on the hour, movement is stamped by maker, 30 hour movement, operating, 15.5″h, 13.25″w, 7″d, 11.25lbs
German Black Forest Cuckoo Clock – Attr: Gebruder Kuner. Crest and side carvings are pierced carved with filigree, berry clusters, swirling branches and lower bracket with teardrop finials; the clock has a 6 in. dial with applied hour numerals and pierced hands, single door in the top with cuckoo bird. The brass weight driven movement has fancy pierced lyre shaped plates, threaded posts, count wheel strike mechanism on a coiled gong and cuckoo flutes; signed with G.K. and pine tree mark, has typical pinecone weights and wood carved pendulum bob. Case has an original finish, some losses to the pendulum bob and cuckoo bellows need repair, missing one chain. 21 in. high x 15.5 in. wide x 6.5 in. deep.

Attr: Johann Baptist Beha Black Forest Carved Cuckoo Table Clock. 6 in. wood dial with incised and painted Roman hour numerals and pierced brass hands; double fusee spring driven movement has wooden strap plates, has an hour cuckoo strike with coiled gong, long steel pendulum rod and brass covered bob. In a carved table model case with branches, oak leaves and acorns, bird in the crest and a fox tangled in a leg trap on the front. Unsigned, in nice overall condition with an enhanced original finish, has a few carving repairs, running and striking, cuckoo bird is working. 22 in. high x 14 in. wide x 9 in. deep. Weight: 16.5 lbs.
