A late 19th century German shelf clock. 8-day time and strike movement with Brass filigree dial and hands, engraved Arabic numerals. Walnut case with applied Brass detail, pagoda top with turned finials over a molded Brass dial door flanked by turned pilasters on a molded base with flattened bun feet. Older finish with minor wear, some edge damage, running momentarily when cataloged. 20 1/2" high. ESTIMATE $200-300

An early 20th century German Black Forest Cuckoo shelf clock with "Marching Sentry" automaton. Brass 8-day time and strike movement with "L B" trademark, Cuckoo and Gong strike, wooden dial with applied Roman numerals. Oak Gothic Revival case with spires on tall columns and a pediment crest over a carved wooden fence with painted Sentry figure, over a stepped molded base with carved frieze. Original finish with Ebonized detail, small repairs, running and functioning when cataloged. 27 1/4" high.
