Hershchede Pattern 50 Mahogany 9 Tube Grandfather Clock. 12 in. silvered dial signed “The Frank Herschede Co., Cincinnati” with applied brass hour numbers, silvered sub seconds dial, moon phase with silvered arch, sub dials for Chime/Silent & Westminster/Whittington chimes, brass back plate with fancy pierced gilt brass filigree decorated center and corner spandrels and pierced hands; brass weight driven movement marked “Germany” has Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, quality brass weights, pulleys and pendulum bob with steel pendulum stick and has 9 silvered tubes signed “Herschede Hall Clock, Cincinnati, O, Crown Symphony Tube”. In a beautiful carved mahogany case with arched bonnet top, medallion crest, carved filigree on the frieze, pierced carved side panels and turned columns on the corners with carved capitols; the body has a long beveled glass door with turned columns having carved capitols, inset carved panel in the base with turned corner columns and stands on carved claw feet. In very good condition, case has an excellent original finish. 88.5 in. high x 27 in. wide x 18 in. deep.

In a mahogany case with pyramidal top having fern & scroll carved crest and corner mounts, medallion and filigree carved frieze, double corner columns on the bonnet; the body has smooth turned corner columns with carved capitols, beveled glass on the oval door panel, carved base panel and claw feet. Nice original finish. 99 in. high x 28 in. wide x 18 in. deep.

Brass dial has a 12 in. silvered chapter ring with applied brass hour numbers, silvered sub seconds dial, etched gilt and pierced brass filigree decorated center and corner spandrels with moon phase dial at the top, dial signed Seth Thomas; brass weight driven movement has Graham deadbeat escapement, retaining power, quality 3 spoke brass pulleys, brass covered weights, brass covered pendulum bob with ebonized wood stick, movement unsigned, has a quarter hour Westminster strike on 4 cupped bells and coiled cathedral gong striking the hour. The mahogany carved case has a broken arched crest with center finial and turned side columns on the bonnet, turned and fluted half columns on the body with beveled glass door and inset filigree carved panel in the base. Inside of the case has a jewelers tag for “G.V. Turgeon & Co., Jewelers”, original finish. 96 in. high x 22.5 in. wide x 15.5 in. deep.

In a carved mahogany case with arched crest, filigree carved with 2 winged griffins, turned side columns and full standing figures of Chronos “Father Time”; the body has large figural maidens busts on the corners with beveled glasses on the door and sides, the base has full standing winged griffins on the corners with filigree and a center carved medallion with a scene of a sailing ship, stands on scrolled feet.
