The clockworks with enamel face and Roman numerals, inset to marble rocaille, over gilt bronze frieze, over marble base on gilt bronze cylindrical feet; surmounted by gilt bronze figure of Pan as child, over two patinated bronze figures of adult Pan and Syrinx, his companion. Not marked. France. Circa 1890. {Approximate dimensions: 21" H. x 21" W. x 8" D.}. Condition: Circular crack to dial at 8 o'clock. Cracking to white marble base, with some cement fill. Scratches to surface.
