Bronze Eagle & Onyx Pedastal Glass Ball Clock. Figural gilt bronze eagle stands perched on a rock structure with spread wings, body turned to the its right and head cocked forward, has a deep brown patina on the figure and gilt finish on the rock structure; raised on a turned & fluted green onyx pedestal and square base. In its mouth the eagle holds a hanging spherical timepiece, magnifying glass ball front and back has a 3.5 in. dia. with Roman hour numerals on the dial and sub seconds dial; movement has a lever escapement with jeweled pallets, good balance wheel swings freely with nice brisk motion, winds from the crown at the top of the sphere and has a pin-set mechanism. Movement is signed Egalite, winds, sets and runs, has a slight bruise on the face of the sphere. 15.75 in. high.

Marble & Bronze Eagle Ball Mantle Clock. Bronze figure of an eagle with wings spread over 4.5 in. dia. bronze sphere and on a stepped green marble base with bronze mounts. The front of the sphere is the clock dial with applied gilt brass Roman hour numerals and gilt snake hands; round brass spring driven time only movement with cylinder escapement. A beautiful and unusual clock in very nice condition. 20 in. high x 12 in. wide x 8.5 in. deep. Weight: 45.5 lbs.
