French Mantle Clock, Wood & Gesso: 8 day time with half hour bell striking movement, numbered 237. The porcelain convex dial is 4 3/4″ wide. The carved mahogany case has a very nice gesso decoration with original gold paint. With key.
(The dial has a chip at the 60 minute mark, on the edge.)

An extremely fine French polychromed wood and bronze ormolu Rococo Revival style mantle clock signed ‘Theodore B. Starr New York’ circa 1880. Featuring individually set porcelain chapter ring indices and having winged bronze at top. Ht: 21″ Width: 6″ Depth: 5″
