Relief cast bronze case in the form of a bell with handle on top, filigree borders around the circumference with Latin script and panels with figural muses, stands on turned feet. 3.5 in. brass dial with porcelain inserts, pierced trefoil hands; typical round French brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂJapy Freres has an half hour strike on a coiled gong. In good overall condition, has damage to one of the hour porcelain tags. 11.25 in. high x 8.25 in. dia.

Japy Freres French Bronze Mantle Clock. 4 in. bronze dial with a copper tone, has incised Roman hour numerals, fancy gilt hands and brass bezel with beveled door glass; typical round French brass 8 day spring driven movement is signed Japy Freres and has an half hour strike on a steel bell. In a bronze case with figural robed maiden side columns in front of scrolling corbels and gilt highlights. Case has a replaced top finial and a lacquered finish. 17 in. high x 12 in. wide x 6.5 in. deep.

Antique Medaille Freres Paris ornate reticulated case Dore gilt bronze mantle clock. Gilt bronze textured scrolled floral face decorated with twelve white enamel plaques having cobalt blue Roman numerals. Movement holding impressed Paris mark. Movement also holds impressed 1644 and 10 6. 19th century. Includes keys and pendulum. Measures 21 3/8″ height x 15″ width x 7 3/4″ depth (54.2cm x 38.1cm x 19.6cm).

Decorated porcelain dial with Arabic numbers with a 60 minute outer ring. Marked works; has key and pendulum.

Japy Freres French Dore & Green Alabaster Clock: the time with half hour bell striking movement is by Japy Freres and dated 1855. The 4″ dial is part of the alabaster front and has gilt metal Roman numerals. The case is topped with a winged cherub leaning on a cloth draped column.
(There is a small alabaster chip on one upper left corner. The cherub’s wing looks as if it has been reattached and recolored. The strike hammer needs adjusted to contact properly.)
