Inlaid Rosewood French Empire Portico Mantle Clock. Rosewood case inlaid in the top and base with grapevines, borders and ebonized highlights, has 4 long turned columns with inlaid stripes and dore bronze capitols, in good condition and original finish. Has a 4 in. silvered dial with black incised Roman hour numerals, open moon hands and filigree decorated dore bronze bezel; round brass 8 day spring driven movement with an half hour strike on a bell, has a quality gridiron pendulum with dore bronze bob and peacock in the center. In good condition and original finish. 18.5 in. high x 9.5 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.

A 19th century French Portico clock by “Vencenti et Cie”. 8 day spring driven time and strike movement with a porcelain dial and cast bezel and pendulum. Ebonized case with Brass inlay and Tortoise shell, MOP and Enameled detail. In running order. Wear, missing inlays, dial damage and lacks one piece of Brass trim molding. 19 1/2″ high.

French Empire Inlaid Portico Clock. 4 in. porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals, open moon hands and signed J. Valery, a Paris; typical round French brass 8 day spring driven movement with bell strike and gridiron pendulum with filigree decorated gilt bronze bob. The inlaid walnut case has a dark brown finish with serpentine crest, 4 spiral turned columns having gilt bronze capitols & bezel and the base. Dial has some damage at 1 oÂclock and the clockÂs suspension spring is missing. 21 in. high x 10.5 in. wide x 6 in. deep.
