French Industrial Marble & Bronze Bell Clock. Beautiful desk clock in the form of a large bell; silvered bronze bell with studded oak yoke and gilt bronze frame; on a rouge marble base, bell is engraved Âvae mihi si non evangelisaveroÂ (Woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel). Centered in the front of the bell is a 3 in. silvered dial with black Roman hour numerals; typical round French brass spring driven movement signed ÂJapy Freres & CieÂ, lever platform escapement is running and has an half hour strike on a gong. 15 in. high x 11.25 in. wide x 8.25 in. deep. Weight: 27 lbs.

French Figural Marble & Bronze Mantle Clock. Gilt bronze seated figure of a philosopher with a pen and a basket of paper scrolls, black marble clock tower with arched top, black marble base with green marble inset panels on the front and sides with gilt bronze mounts and trim. 4 in. porcelain dial with open moon hands; round French brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂJapy FreresÂ & ÂRollin a ParisÂ, has a half hour strike on a bell. Black marble has a few breaks and repairs, front feet are broken off but we do have them, no hairlines in the dial. 17 in. high x 21.5 in. wide x 7.5 in. deep.

On the case is a figural muse, a woman seated on an ottoman, she holds a wreath in one hand and a torch in the other, has a medium brown patina with green highlights; a black marble base with dore bronze mounts, winged cherubs on the corners, hanging strands of fruit, maidens head and scrolled shield feet. 3.5 in. dial with black roman numerals and open club hands. Typical French brass silk thread movement has count wheel strike mechanism, strike on a bell. 24 in. high x 16 in. wide x 7 in. deep

Marti & CieÂ, has an half hour strike on a bell, in running condition, has key and pendulum, case is in excellent condition, missing rear door. 25.5 in. high x 18 in. wide x 9 in. deep. Black marble base with a black marble clock tower and green marble pilasters on the front, bronze trim, roof and wreath crest with hanging scroll, the wood & plaster base is brass covered on the front with lions paw and filigree feet; seated to the right and leaning against the clock tower is a bronze figure of a philosopher with a book rested under his elbow and a basket of scrolls to the far left. 4 in. porcelain time dial signed ÂSarazinÂ, has black Roman hour numerals, fancy pierced hands and brass door bezel with beveled crystal; round French brass 8 day spring driven movement signed ÂVincenti & CieÂ, has an half hour strike on a bell. Marble has a crack & repair in the base below the clock tower, missing pendulum. 16 in. high x 23 in. wide x 7.5 in. deep.
