French Figural Glass Dial Mystery Clock. 10 in. beveled glass dial has black painted Roman hour numerals and minute markers, fancy silvered hands and signed Pendule Mysterieuse Brevettee; has a small spring driven watch movement behind the dial, signed on the back E. Rosset, movement is running, balance swings freely. Figural maiden, white metal base with a deep brown finish; the figure wears draped garments with exposed legs, holds a bouquet of flowers in her left hand and holds the clock dial up in her right hand. 37 in. high

French Figural Dore Bronze & Alabaster Conical Pendulum Mystery Clock. Standing bronze classical robed female figure holding an urn in one hand and the pendulum in the other, hanging from a silk thread suspension, figure is unsigned; white alabaster base has dore bronze side mounts & feet. 4 in. gilt metal dial has applied brass Roman hour numerals and gilt spade hands; round brass 8 day spring driven movement signed Japy Freres et Cie., has an half hour strike with a bell, movement has a vertical post connected to a lever at the top of the movement which rotates the pendulum clockwise. Clock is in working condition, figure has a nice dark brown patina and old minor repairs to the front corners of the base. 35 in. high x 18 in. wide x 9.5 in. deep.

Robert Houdin Glass Dial Mystery Clock. 4.5 in. 2 plate glass dial, the front plate has reverse painted black Roman hour numerals and gilt arrow pointer hand which moves the rear glass plate driven by gears on itÂs outer edge contained in the brass bezel. The dial is raised on dore bronze filigree molded arms raising up from the center stem containing more gears and arms connecting to the escapement of the movement, the dore bronze base has a serpentine form with applied dore filigree and maidens head and stands overall on a gilt wood platform. Round French brass spring driven silk thread movement has and hour strike on a steel bell in the base .The front mounted escapement engages a large crown wheel in the back of the movement with rotates a series of rods and gears running up through the stem and right support arm which turns the rear glass plate to which the time indicator is attached. Circa 1830, in good running condition. 17 in. high.

Glass Dial Pendant Mystery Bank Clock. 24 in. octagonal glass dial is reverse embossed and gilt decorated, outer ring has minute markers with large 3 in. hour numbers inside, dial has center advertising for a bank which reads ÂTime  To Start An Account and has pierced carved wood hands with counter balances. Runs on an 8 day movement signed ÂHebdomas which is contained in the counter balance section of the minute hand and completely hidden; movement is spring driven and stem wind with lever escapement and a fancy engraved bridge. In running condition, dial has 2 flaked chips on corners, but is overall very nice.

Lg. standing spelter figure of a winged male, An Allegory of Progress, the figure rises within the clouds with large wings and holds a torch up in his right hand; signed Bruchon and has foundry medallion for ÂFabrication Francaise Paris, made in Paris FranceÂ. 32.25 in. high. The 35 in. gridiron pendulum swings from a post coming from the torch, has a crossed ÂXÂ suspension with 3 brass rods, blue spherical bob and 6.25 in. sphere at the top; the front of the top sphere has applied brass hour numerals and is the dial containing a round brass spring driven time only movement. In running condition, replaced minute hand; figure has a nice dark brown finish. 39.5 in. high. Weight: 24 lbs.

Lg. French Figural Mystery Swinger Clock. Tall spelter figure of a blacksmith signed ÂCh. RuchotÂ, the figure stands beside an anvil, holding his hammer and a post up in his right hand. The 38.5 in. long gridiron pendulum swings on an ÂXÂ suspension from the post which the figure holds, has 2 tone silvered and brass rods, 6.5 in. ball top is the clock dial with applied pierced brass hour numerals and fancy brass hands and has a spherical pendulum bob; round brass 8 day spring driven time only movement, stamped with a large ÂRÂ on the back plate and numbered Â4225Â. In nice condition, running, figure has a dark brown patina. 39 in. high. Weight: 22.5 lbs.

French Figural Mystery Swinger Clock. Standing cast metal figure of a woman wearing lose robes blowing in the breeze, holds a set of dividers in her right hand and holds the pendulum up in her left, the pendulum has a long brass rod with beveled glass bob, gilt finish and is numbered on the bottom Â1790Â; she stands on a gilt brass platform signed ÂPH. Mourey and matching number 1790, as the movement runs it swivels the platform and figure slightly clockwise then counter clockwise swinging the pendulum which regulates the clock. 4 in. white onyx dial has applied pierced brass Roman hour numerals, gilt spade hands and a gilt brass bezel; round French brass 8 day spring driven movement is signed ÂGLT (Guilmet) and numbered 1647, has a half hour count wheel strike on a single bell. Fluted plinth style white onyx case with gilt metal ribbon, corbel, shield mounts & feet, stands on a gilt carved wood platform base. In good running condition, no breaks, chips or repairs to the onyx. 25.5. in. high.
