DESCRIPTION: French Empire gilt bronze Wall Cartel "The Lyre" clock attributed to Claude Galle (1759-1815). Features a gilt bronze lyre formed case with black Roman numeral marked, white enamel dial. Designed with ornate foilate reliefs, figural putti musicians, laurel leaves, palmettes and flowers along the trims, and head of Apollo crest. Features a bell strike, pendulum movement. Includes paperwork from (La Pendulerie)
