French "Course Romaine" Mantel Clock, patinated metal figure of a Roman charioteer mounted on a marble base, plaque on the base reads "Course Romaine Par X. Raphanel," original porcelain dial is signed "Mesmin Asnieres," 8-day brass count wheel strike with valley suspension is signed "Samuel Marti," damage to charioteer robe, one foot is bent and detached, chips to edges of marble base, running, strike functional, 20 in. high x 22 in. wide x 10 in. deep.

French mantel clock depicting the Saint "Joan of Arc" mounted on a rouge marble base, French "Japy Freres" movement with 1878 date, count wheel striking on a bell, porcelain dial signed "D' Regent" and "St. Servant," attached plaque reads "Jeanne D'Arc Invoquant DIEU avant le combat" (Joan of Arc, invoking God before combat), not running, strike working. 29.5 in. high x 12 in. wide x 6 in. deep.

Two French marble mantel clocks, circa 1900, the first in grey (bleu turquin) marble, the second variegated, each having a cream Arabic chapter ring and single-train timepiece movement in rectangular case, the first inscribed to reverse ‘LNER 7896’, each 9″ (23cm) high respectively

Condition

Grey clock has crack to one front corner. Other has back edge chips. Both dials sound but both movements require overhaulFellows do not guarantee the working order or accuracy of any clocks sold.

A French made 19th century mantel clock in the form of a Pillar whose case is made from white marble base supporting a polished brass and gild gilt pillar supporting a round dialed clock. 14″ in height

Missing feet that may have been attached to the marble base or the base changed. Unless otherwise stated the condition of the mechanisms of these clocks is good, but that does not mean they run or do not need repairs. There is no guarantee of either the mechanical performance of clocks nor the completeness and originality of their parts and components. In most cases we have not removed the dials from these clocks, and have not checked inside for manufacturers or makers names for attribution.
