（英吉利海峡首飛紀念鈡）
commemorating Louis Blériot's achievement of the first flight over the English Channel on July 25, 1909, modeled as a monoplane flying over a landscape, set with a dial having gilt Arabic numerals.
1908年，北岩勛爵（Lord Northcliffe，1865-1922）懸賞1000英鎊給第一個駕駛飛機成功飛躍英吉利海峽的人。此後一年多無人成功。法國發明家路易·布萊里奥經過數年磨練，向這獎項發起挑戰。
1909年7月25日，布萊里奥駕駛自己研制的最新機型成功從法國加萊飛往英國多佛，這歷史性的飛行跨越35公里，歷時37分鐘。布氏從此聲名大操，被視爲人類航空競速運動的開創者。他所創辦的航空公司亦在一戰中為同盟國製造了上千架飛機。

Xavier Raphanel French Figural Mantle Clock. The top of the case has a statue with a powerful wartime scene of a brave standing soldier shooting a pistol as he attempts to drag a wounded soldier to cover, behind them a flag stands with fence posts, a helmet and cannon on the ground; white metal statue after Xavier Raphanel (Late 19th Century, French), the base has a relief design on the front with a black slave in chains on his knees on the left side and to the right Lady Liberty appears to be freeing him. Contained in the base is the 4 in. porcelain chapter ring with blue Arabic numbers and inset center with gilt brass star, has a typical round French brass time only spring driven movement. In good condition, missing pendulum. 37 in. high x 16 in. wide x 10 in. deep.
