French Empire Pinwheel Portico Clock. A fantastic birds-eye maple case with 4 turned columns, bronze dore capitols, trim and bezel around the dial, which has a 5 in. porcelain chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals, engraved dore bronze center, open moon hands and sweep seconds hand. Large, round brass movement is signed Rieussec, Hger Du Roi; has a pinwheel escapement, long heavy brass, gridiron pendulum hangs from a knifepoint suspension in the rear of the case. 22.25 in. high x 11.25 in. wide x 6.75 in. deep.

French Figural Pinwheel Mantle Clock. Bronze figure of a putti in a medium dark brown patina seated on a dore bronze rock with musical instruments at his feet, wears a floral wreath on his head; over a cream colored marble base with bronze feet. The clock is contained in a cylindrical brass tub resting on the figures head. Has a gilt brass 3.5 in. dial with black Roman hour numerals, open moon hands and fancy bezel, dial signed Canchy A. Paris. Unusual brass spring driven silk thread movement has a pinwheel escapement and count wheel half hour strike mechanism on a steel bell. In good condition with no breaks or repairs. 18 in. high

Antique Walnut French Pinwheel Jeweler’s Regulator. Fantastic walnut case with many burled walnut panels, Highly ornate top & bottom scalloped section are both intact. Burled walnut back panel & numerous burled panels are in excellent shape. 12″ porcelain dial with sweep seconds has brass trim ring. Brass weight hands to the right in the case off an offset bracket. Brass & nickel gridiron pendulum is in great condition, Pinwheel escapement. Has not been tested. Sells as is, where is. 103″L. Ships F.O.B.

French Marble & Bronze Portico Clock. 4.5 in. porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals, dore bronze bezel, open moon hands and sweep seconds hand; quality brass spring driven movement has a pinwheel escapement with large gridiron pendulum, hanging from a knife edge suspension, half hour strike on a steel bell. Rouge marble case has an arched top, reverse tapered columns and stepped base, dore bronze doves mounted at the top, pineapple finials, capitols and turned feet. Case has a repair to the rear left column, few minor corner chips, filled hole around the base which once had a bronze trim piece and single chip on the dial under the strike arbor hole. 18 in. high x 11 in. wide x 5 in. deep.

French Pinwheel Column Clock: Bronze dore, 8 day time with ball striking, movement has a pinwheel escapement and free swinger style suspension. The 4 1/2″ porcelain dial has “Frisard” and “A Rouen” on it. The Empire style case of bronze dore has bands of roses in relief around all four columns.
(Dial has small chips and fractures; the strike hammer is not attached. The pendulum needs a good cleaning. There are 2 unexpected holes in the platform directly below the pendulum.)

French Timepiece, Circa 1880, 3 1/2 x 2 1/4″ enamel dial, 8-day, rectangular brass movement with replaced platform, fancy figural cast spelter case with classic Victorian styling, beveled glass panel in front & top to view escapement, overall good condition, but dirty, lacks four small finials on each corner of top of clock. Height 7″.
