19th Century French Figural Mantle Clock. Charles X style. Two gilt bronze historical figures, atop a bronze mounded base, cylindrical clock inset into the center. Copper stepped lower base with two applied gilt bronze moulded Romanesque appliques. The mound base with three initials moulded to front, possibly CHD. France. France, for Tiffany & Co., New York, a late 19th century three piece clock garniture, the patinated bronze case with owl ornamented scroll feet and stylized classical ornament, the incurved sides with decorative pendants with gilt, top – shaped mount, and terminating in a cluster of scrolls and large palmette, the case crowned with a figure of a young woman at a fountain, admiring her own reflection, signed roman numeral metal dial with gilt bezel, decorative center, and gilt Breguet style hands, 8 day pendule de Paris movement signed Tiffany & Co., New York, striking the hours and half hour on a bell, the candelabra with bases matching the clock, and each with a vasiform column supporting the candle holders, four on scrolled arms, and one at the center, dimensions of clock case listed

French Empire figural gilt bronze mantle clock. Gilt bronze figural Grecian winged female figure, seated with a butterfly resting on one shoulder, holding up part of her dress. Circular gilt Roman numeral dial with hour and minute hands, having a naturalistic rocaille surround atop a rectangular plinth base, with applied plaque to the front and scrolling bracket feet. Works marked G. B. and "6." 18 1/2" H x 12 3/8" W x 4 1/2" D. 19th century.
