Fine case with gilt brass moldings, trimmings and finials over red tortoise shell; has a gilt brass dial with inset enamel plaques with Roman hour numerals and black hands. French brass spring driven movement signed Vincenti & Co. 1855; strikes a coiled gong on the half hour. In very good condition, no losses to the case and movement, in working condition. 21 in. high x 11 in wide x 5.5 in. deep.

Tortoise shell case has a rectangular form with hinged rear door with 9 karat gold hinges, handle and feet marked with English hallmarks; has a 2 in. porcelain dial with gold bezel and beveled crystal, brass spring driven time only French movement has a lever platform escapement in good running condition. Has a small hairline in the side of the case under the bottom hinge. 5.75 in. high x 3 in. wide x 2.25 in. deep.

Silver Mounted & Tortoise Shell Carriage Clock. 2.25 dial has a silvered chapter ring with black Arabic numbers, blued spade hands and an engraved gilt brass center; typical brass carriage clock movement with silvered lever & platform escapement, balance swings with nice brisk motion and clock is running, has a blued coiled gong half hour strike. In a 6 paneled tortoise shell case with repousse silver mounts on the corners, silver feet and handle; case is signed on the inside frame by silversmith J. Batson. Tortoise shell is in good condition with no breaks or repairs and the silver is all intact, the latch for the back door is missing. 5.5 in. high x 3.5 in. wide x 3 in. deep.
