An 18th cntury French Bracket clock by Francois Lancelot, Paris. 8-day time and strike movement with Velvet covered dial with circular cast Brass center, Silvered chapter ring and Roman numerals on porcelain markers, lower moon phase indicator globe flanked by Date/Month/Zodiac and Day/Moon Phase subsidiary dials, lower date aperture and porcelain maker's plaque. Boulle case with caddy top and Gilded flame finials over a pierced Brass frieze and single shaped door with glazed side panels, Brass molded base with gadrooned brass feet. Good overall condition with some wear and restoration, lacks two bell hammers, nut on bells and seconds hand, converted to anchor escapement, not running when cataloged. 26 1/4" high. A late 19th century French Boulle Louis XV style bracket clock. 8-day time and strike movement with cast Bronze dial and porcelain markers with Roman numerals and engraved minutes with Apollo Mask pendulum. Movement marked "G L F". Black Boulle case with Brass Marquetry inlay and Gilded Bronze mounts including floral and flame finials, Caryatid corners, foliate scrolls, lower door medallion and turned feet. Minor wear, some older repairs, hairlines and minor edge damage to dial markers, running when cataloged. 29 3/4" high overall. ESTIMATE $2,000-3,000

French Boulle & Brass Inlaid Bracket Clock. 7.25 in. dia. gilt bronze dial with black incised Roman hour numerals, incised minute numbers, gilt pierced hands, relief center panel with profile portrait of Louis XV and gilt bronze mounts on the velvet back panel signed “Coquerel, Paris”. Square brass 8 day spring driven movement signed “G.V. – 555” has a Brocot escapement, quarter hour strike on 2 coiled gongs and is in running condition. In a wonderful case with fancy brass filigree inlaid into tortoise shell and bronze mounts, Eight fleur de lis finials and figural horses laying down supporting the case on the base. In very nice condition with a lacquered finish. 28.5 in. high x 19 in. wide x 10 in. deep. Weight: 33.75 lbs.

French Boulle & Brass Inlaid Bracket Clock. 12 in. repousee brass dial has large inset porcelain plaques with black Roman hour numerals, outer inserts with Arabic 5 minute markers, porcelain center signed J. Gudin, A Paris and pierced black hands; has a brass spring driven movement with pin pallet escapement and half hour countwheel strike on a silvered bell, movement signed A.D. Mougin. In a large case with matching hanging shelf bracket and domed top with figural finial, has deep red and black boulle with fancy brass inlays and filigree mounts; the large door has a brass frame with figural brass overlay at the bottom, original door glass and side glasses. Clock is in original finish, has some roughness, loss and pulling to the brass inlays, pendulum is a replacement. The clock is 40 in. high x 21.5 in. wide x 7 in. deep, overall height in the bracket is 58 in.
