Mahogany case with Satinwood inlay, Mother-of-Pearl floral inlays on a molded base with Brass feet. Older finish with wear and minor edge damage, running momentarily when cataloged. 11" high. French Black Slate Balloon Clock, 1870: The bell striking with 1/2 hour strike movement is marked GV 30474 & 10.6 and has a porcelain dial. In a plain black slate case. There is a size 15 crank style key with the clock.

The clock is running and striking at this time.

(The porcelain dial has some chips around one key hole. There are also some surface scratches below and just left of the center of the dial. There is no back access cover.)

Dial – 9 1/2″ Diameter; Case – 16″ Tall x 13″ Wide
