Foster Campos Girandole Banjo Clock. Typical fancy pierced hands, 6.5 in. painted metal dial signed ÂFoster S. Campos, Pembroke, MA. and black hour numbers; brass 8 day time only movement signed Foster Campos, Pembroke, MA. and numbered 5280. Steel pendulum rod, brass pulley, brass bob, lock down hardware and lead weight. Elaborate Girandole presentation banjo case has a large gilt eagle, ornate gilt base, solid brass bezel and balls, presentation throat with rope molding and gilt lower door with gilt balls, Aurora lower door signed ÂMoberg reverse painted glass and reverse painted ÂPatent throat glass; branded banjo clock signature signed Foster Campos, Pembroke, Ma. In the back of the case. In good condition. 46 in. high x 12 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep.

A late 20th century Foster S. Campos Presentation Banjo clock. 8-day weight driven time only movement marked "Foster S. Campos, Pembroke, Mass." with a painted metal dial marked "Foster S. Campos, Pembroke, Mass" and Roman numerals also marked with a Pine Tree at 6:00. Shaped Mahogany case with Gilded front having a turned Gilded finial above circular Brass upper door with convex glass over a throat glass with reverse painted decoration and shaped Brass side arms over a lower door with reverse painted Naval Battle scene by Tom Moberg, carved drop with applied spheres and applied rope detail. The case has a Campos branded mark on backboard, stamped with a "4" and "85" on the corner blocks. Slight case wear, dent on left side of throat panel, running when cataloged. 41" high overall. Foster Campos No. 5 Banjo Clock. 7 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals, signed ÂFoster S. Campos, Pembroke, Mass.Â. Typical brass weight driven movement is signed ÂFoster Campos  5  Pembroke, MA and serial number 17932; brass covered pendulum bob with wood stick, lockdown hardware on the red painted weight baffle and lead weight. Mahogany case has typical banjo form with polished spun brass and floral finial on top, brass bezel with rounded door glass and pierced brass side arms; reverse painted throat glass with hanging gilt filigree on white & cream colored background and reverse painted lower door glass which reads ÂS. WillardÂs Patent with beautiful inlays on the throat and lower door. In excellent condition. 34.5 in. high

Patterned after a Simon Willard Banjo clock. Clock with brass bezel protecting a painted metal dial. Dial marked “Foster Campos Pembroke, Mass.” Reverse painted geometric shaped glass fronts. The lower glass doorreading “S. Willard’s Patent” Brass side decorations. Eight Day. Foster Campos renowned creator of fine replicas of early American timepieces. Apprenticed and worked as sole employee of famous clock maker ElmerO. Stennes prior to creating his own clocks. Interior case branded with maker’s name. 341/4″ tall x 10″ wide.
