Mantle clock from Forestville Manufacturing Co and J. C. Brown of Bristol, Conn., great old label inside, brass 8 day works, painted wooden face, minor veneer damage, circa 1850, 29″ tall by 16 1/2″ wide. Both upper and lower glasses have been replaced years ago.

J.C. Brown Ripple Front Beehive Mantle Clock. 4.5 in. painted metal dial with black Roman hour numerals and good period hands, signed J.C. Brown Forestville, Ct. US.; brass spring driven movement has an hour strike on a coiled gong and brass covered pendulum bob, movement signed J.C. Brown, Forestville, Conn. and partial paper label in the back of the case. In a rosewood beehive case with ripple carved front and reverse painted tablet. In good condition with a clean original finish, has a minor repair to the upper bezel beside the door hinge. 15.5 in. high x 9 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.

Brown Forrestville, CT. U.S.A. has a brass covered pendulum bob. In a rosewood beehive case with reverse painted tablet depicting a lighthouse scene; signed on a paper label in the back of the case ÂThirty Hour Brass Clocks, manufactured by J.C. Brown, Forestville, Conn.Â. Case has an enhanced original finish, glasses are replaced, alarm mechanism is not connected and running, dial is repainted. 15.5 in. high x 8.5 in. wide x 3.5 in. deep.
