Fine Marie Antoinette Porcelain Clock and Pedestal

Meissen Germany, 1814-1860 and later, the model After Porcelaine de la Reine, Paris, By Andre Marie Leboeuf (1755-1810). The case with a bust of the queen with floral swags and fluted base on pedestal with alabaster top and the Queen's monogram on shaft, the clock case bearing crossed swords mark in blue underglaze, works by Samuel Marti et Cie, c. 1860, the pedestal with cypher and Dresden Germany Dec 300 Depose. Clock height 23, width 8, depth 8 inches, overall height 64 inches, losses to one ribbon on back, some petal ends, chip to socket underside, rubbed gilt. Porcelain & Bisque Clock w/Marie Antoinette: The H & F Paris with bell striking movement is numbered 4237 with the date of 1877 off by itself in a rectangle. The porcelain dial has gold painted features. The pillar shaped cobalt blue glazed case with gold trim has a bisque bust of Marie Antoinette on it. The bust is marked MLLA with the first L being reversed – or maybe they are not letters at all. The springs wind OK.

(There is no pendulum.)

A fine gilt bronze encased 6 1/2″ porcelain paneled carriage clock. The case with four separate Severes oval porcelain inserts and with a round polychrome glazed dial masked by an engraved blue backed filigree gilt bronze mask. The French made clockworks having a jeweled platform and a clock striking the hours and half hours and with a push repeat.

Rene Lalique originally created this clock in 1931 as a "teaching clock", as the hands are outside and could be moved to different positions, currently Lalique re-created this clock with a battery movement, so you would not touch the hands but set the time with the enclosed pointed tool at the designated area by unscrewing the back, batteries included, working at time of auction, very good like new condition, 6" x 4" *Clocks and watches are not guaranteed*
