Figural Mystery Ball Swinger Clock. Standing spelter figure of a woman wearing long garments holds a quiver in her left hand and in her right, she holds a post that supports the pendulum. The 25 in. gridiron pendulum has a 4.5 in. ball top and spherical bob, the dial has applied brass hour numbers with gilt filigree pierced hands; brass 8 day spring driven time only movement signed “Ansonia Clock Co.” is contained behind the dial which powers the mystery swinging pendulum. Corrosion on patina, figure missing bow. Dimensions: 30 in. high. Weight: 15.40 lbs.

French Figural Mystery 2 Chain Swinger Clock. Standing cast metal figure of a woman marked in 2 places with the initials “L.S.F.”; she holds up in her right hand a gilt bronze post with crossbar having hanging chains from which the clock swings. 3 in. porcelain dial has black Roman hour numerals with gilt pierced hands, brass 8 day time only spring driven movement is encased in a bronze tub with pointer at the bottom, finial and handles at the top; the jeweled pin pallet escapement is engaged by a crutch attached to one of the handles. Clock is in good running condition with no missing or broken parts. 24 in. high.

Lg. French Figural Mystery Swinger Clock. Lg. standing spelter figure of a winged male, An Allegory of Progress, the figure rises within the clouds with large wings and holds a torch up in his right hand; signed Bruchon and has foundry medallion for ÂFabrication Francaise Paris, made in Paris FranceÂ. 32.25 in. high. The 35 in. gridiron pendulum swings from a post coming from the torch, has a crossed ÂXÂ suspension with 3 brass rods, blue spherical bob and 6.25 in. sphere at the top; the front of the top sphere has applied brass hour numerals and is the dial containing a round brass spring driven time only movement. In running condition, replaced minute hand; figure has a nice dark brown finish. 39.5 in. high. Weight: 24 lbs.

Lg. French Figural Mystery Swinger Clock. Tall spelter figure of a blacksmith signed ÂCh. RuchotÂ, the figure stands beside an anvil, holding his hammer and a post up in his right hand. The 38.5 in. long gridiron pendulum swings on an ÂXÂ suspension from the post which the figure holds, has 2 tone silvered and brass rods, 6.5 in. ball top is the clock dial with applied pierced brass hour numerals and fancy brass hands and has a spherical pendulum bob; round brass 8 day spring driven time only movement, stamped with a large ÂRÂ on the back plate and numbered Â4225Â. In nice condition, running, figure has a dark brown patina. 39 in. high. Weight: 22.5 lbs.

Guilmet Figural 8 Day Mystery Clock. Heavy black marble mantle case with gilt bronze handles on the sides and stands on claw feet. 4 in. dial exposing the escapement with reverse painted Roman hour numerals on the frosted chapter ring and brass bezel, beveled door glass and gilt hands. Standing on top is a gilt spelter figure holding a long pendulum with a beveled glass bob. Brass 8 day spring driven movement signed with ÂGLTÂ mark for Guilmet, has a half hour strike on a bell, crank & stirrup escapement which is exposed behind the dial. The case is in very good condition; movement is in working condition. 30 in. high x 14 in. wide x 8 in. deep. Weight: 40 lbs.
