Figural Bronze Mantle Clock. Bronze case has a theatrical theme with William Shakespeare bust at the top, pr. of figural putti laying down reading a book by torch light, figural pilaster busts on either side with maiden holding a theater mask, books and instruments beside her and lady Macbeth figure to the left holding up a dagger with books, weapons and armor beside her, beveled door crystal with beaded bezel. 4 in. bronze dial with applied brass Roman hour numerals, brass spade hands and relief filigree decorated center; round brass spring driven movement signed Jas. K. Kerr & Bro’s, has an half hour strike on bell. Case has an excellent dark brown patina, movement is in running condition with a broken suspension spring, no breaks, repairs or losses to the case which has exceptional detail. 20.25 in. high x 11.75 in. wide x 6 in. deep.
