New England Federal Inlaid Cherry Tall Case Clock
circa 1800, white pine secondary, painted metal face with moon dial, hemispheres, date dial, second hand dial, painted floral spandrels, reeded front columns with gilt metal Corinthian capitals, the case with a single hinged door with applied molded edge, inlaid corner fans and flanked by top fluted quarter columns with brass capitals, flush base panel, inlaid corner fans, flush molded base molding, hood with three brass finials, case key, winding key, two weights, pendulum.
87 (82 without finial) x 22 x 11 in.
Some pencil inscription to inside of door "Burney 1895"; moon face stamped Wilson Birm.

It has a floral painted face with a faded owner’s name on it. It is signed Richard Lester on the left side of the scat board. Feet have been replaced. Clock has original weights and pendulum. Richard Lesyter made clocks in York, Pa from 1770 to 1816.
