Eugene Farcot, French, 1830-1896. A late 19th century French desk clock with top mounted globe by "Delemarche, Paris 1868". 8-day time and strike visible movement with porcelain chapter ring and Roman numerals, rear mounted rotational mechanism for the globe. Louis XVI style gilded spelter case with Allegorical design and shaped base with paw feet. Some corrosion to the case, wear to globe, running momentarily when cataloged. 12 1/2" high. A late 19th century French "Cherub on a Swing" mantel clock by Eugene Farcot. 8-day time only skeletonized movement with porcelain chapter ring and Roman numerals has a Farcot patent swinger escapement with double escape wheel, and cast pendulum with Cherub, movement signed, "Chappement Brevete" with Eagle Trademark, serial #60261. Scrolled Brass supports with Copper and Gilded finish on a Black wooden base with glass dome. Some wear, dome replaced, running when cataloged. 9 3/4" high. ESTIMATE $400-600

France, Globe Clock Co., Edwardian globe clock, the cylindrical, quarter round molded brass base supporting a tapered, fluted column, attached to the stationary globe mount, engraved, Roman numeral equatorial ring with adjustable pointer, and 8 day timepiece movement concealed in the base, driving the globe through the a linkage in the column. These clocks were made in France for the English market and sold by Smith & Sons, Ltd.

White Alabaster case surmounted by a Classical draped Spelter figure of a Danaides with vase, on a base with Gilded Bronze mounts and incised carvings with Gold inlay, all on flared floriform bracket feet.
