S.B. TerryÂs Patent Torsion Balance Wheel Clock. 6 in. painted metal dial has black Roman hour numerals, fancy blued hands and hinged brass door bezel; brass spring driven movement has a large balance wheel at the bottom and engaging the torsion pendulum connected to the escapement, S.B. TerryÂs patent stamped ÂPatented Oct. 5, 1852Â, in good running condition. In a rosewood octagonal case having an overcoated finish, some minor veneer loss to one corner. 8.75 in. high x 8.75 in. wide x 3 in. deep.
