English Sterling Silver 1 Hour Repeater Carriage Clock. 2.25″ relief decorated gilt brass dial with fancy hour numbers surrounded by birds, filigree and a north wind face; brass 8 day spring driven movement signed with “A.M.” and beehive trade mark for Francois Arsene Margaine, has a platform lever escapement and half hour strike with repeater on a coiled gong. In a repousse sterling silver case signed with hallmarks on the case, rear door and bezel for John Bodman Carrington, English sterling, London, 1891 and also Carrington Co., 130 Regent St. and crown mark on the bottom; has a hinged handle with flowers, flowing filigree and figures on the case. Running, striking, good overall condition. 5.25″ high x 3″ wide x 2.75″ deep. Weight: 2.25 lbs.
