English Double Fusee Mahogany Bracket Clock. 7″ convex painted iron dial signed “Samuel Martin, Cheltenham” has black Roman hour numerals, black painted hands and hinged round brass door bezel with convex crystal; brass 8 day double fusee spring driven movement has an engraved rear plate, heavy brass covered engraved pendulum bob with lockdown and hour bell strike. The mahogany gothic revival case having a beehive form with turned finials, triple cluster columns on the front, brass side handles and brass ball feet. Overcoated original finish, replaced upper finial, missing suspension spring, replaced hour hand. Samuel Martin opened on “The Strand” in Cheltenham in 1808, which later became Martin & Co. to which a Royal Warrant was presented by Queen Victoria in 1838. Dimensions: 23″ high x 10.75″ wide x 7″ deep. Weight: 19.25 lbs.

English Mahogany Double Fusee Bracket Clock. 7 in. convex painted brass dial with black Roman hour numerals and pierced hands; quality brass double fusee movement has engraved decorated rear plate, short drop pendulum and verge (crown wheel) escapement, hour strike on a large steel bell. In a mahogany case with brass feet, brass door bezel, hinged handle on top and pierced brass inserts on the front and sides. 14 in. high x 11 in. wide x 7.5 in. deep.

English Double Fusee Bracket Clock: T&S with an unsigned porcelain dial with hour, minutes and day of month. There are angel head spandrels. There is a double fusee, 4 bell, silk string movement. The back plate is fully engraved with the silhouette of a man’s head, a bird, flags, a drum and scrolling leaves. (The ornate minute hand has the tip broken off. The dial has hairlines above the 12:00 position.) Has not been tested. Sells as is, where is. 17 1/2″ Tall with the handle up.
