Samuel Terry Pillar & Scroll Mantle Clock. Original 11 in. painted wood dial with black hour numbers, floral panted corner spandrels and pierced hands; 30 hour wooden works movement with countwheel hour strike on a coiled gong, round iron side weights, brass covered pendulum bob. In a mahogany pillar & scroll case with brass finials, elegant turned side columns, cutout feet and apron with an original reverse painted tablet; signed on a paper label “Samuel Terry”. In nice condition, has door key and winding key, running, striking, has excellent repair to the crest and is in excellent refinished condition. 31 in. high x 16.5 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep. Weight: 19 lbs.

Original painted wood dial has a 10 in. chapter ring with black hour numbers, gilt borders and colorful floral decorated corners, pierced black hands (wood arbor post for hour hand is chipped); wooden works movement with count wheel strike mechanism with bell, iron weights and brass covered pendulum bob, label in the back of the case for Bishop & Bradley, Watertown, Connecticut. In a mahogany pillar & scroll case, has broken arch crest with maple inlays, spun brass finials, turned side columns and French style feet with wavy apron; reverse painted lower tablet in good original condition, minor inpainting, few minor repairs to the crest, enhanced original finish. 31 in. high x 17.5 in. wide x 5 in. deep.

Painted wood dial has a 9.5 in. chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals, gilt borders and colorful floral decorated corners, dial signed  Dudley F. Fasoldt, Rensselaer, NY, exposed recoil escapement, unusual pierced hands; brass weight driven movement with rack & snail strike mechanism with steel bell, iron weights and brass covered pendulum bob. In a mahogany & tiger maple pillar & scroll case, has fancy pierced carved crest with bone rosettes, spun brass finials, turned side columns and valanced feet; reverse painted lower tablet in good original condition. 31.5 in. high x 17.5 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep.

Norris North Pillar & Scroll Mantle Clock: with an East-West wood works and bell strike. The wood dial is 9″ wide and has a painted basket of flowers in the center. The interior label is a bit rough on the sides, but legible in the center. The case is mahogany and veneer. Old weights and pendulum are with it. No key.
(Has replaced upper and original lower glass. The clock has no hands, but worked when tested with only slightly raised weights and pendulum. The door’s key frame is partly gone. The backboard has added holes.)

Norris North Pillar & Scroll Mantle Clock: wood, East-West works with bell strike. The wood dial is 9″ wide and has painted grapes and strawberries in the center. The interior label is partial, but legible in the center. The case is mahogany and veneer. Weights and pendulum are with it. No key. With original glass plates.
(Has no finials. The lower glass is broken. Not tested; the weight cables are very short. The case’s veneer and scroll top have some repair problems and warping. There is one pulley on the top right; the cable is too short. Screws have been added to secure the dial in place.)
