English Mahogany Weight Driven Long Case Clock. 13 in. painted metal dial signed “Wm. Callowy, Leeds”, has black Roman hour numerals, sub seconds dial, sub calendar dial, floral painted corner spandrels and painted scene in the arch of a crowned king playing a harp; brass 8 day weight driven movement has a half hour strike on a bell at the top of the movement, solid brass pulleys and pr. of iron weights. In a large mahogany floor standing case, bonnet has a broken arch pediment crest with spun brass finials and applied rosettes, spiral turned column, the body has a fancy shaped door carved from a single panel, has squat quarter columns inset at the corners and a block form base with large inset center panel; 2 board back. Case has very attractive grain in the mahogany, feet are replaced and rear legs are cut, base board replaced, case is in nice restored condition; original dial is repainted and has a repair to one rear post mounting it top the movement, replaced hour, minute & calendar hands, movement is clean and in running condition. 98 in. high x 26 in. wide x 11 in. deep.
