hood with broken arch pediment supported by full outset turned columns, the painted dial with floral spandrels, a farm cottage in the arch, second and date dial. The dial signed Smith, Huddersfield. Bluck, with subsidiary second and date ring, with ‘rocking ship’ in the half arch before a litho of rough seas. The case with tall round top door raised on a molded plinth with bracket feet. William Bluck London clockmaker 1779-1800. Two weight, eight day movement. 77″H x 19″W x 11″D, Circa – 1790.

A George III mahogany longcase clock. Thomas Hale, London, circa 1780. Having a 12″ silvered break-arch Roman dial with subsidiary seconds and date dials, engraved “Thos. Hale London”, the arch with Strike/Silent ring, the five-pillar movement rack-striking on a bell, the break-arched case with brass ball-and-spire finials over cut foliate scroll crestings, stop-fluted columns, conforming canted corners flanking a moulded break-arched long trunk, on cut corner-panelled base with wavy apron and integral bracket feet, 90.5″, (230cm) high.

the broken arch pediment with brass urn finial, the glazed door flanked by two full colonettes. Mahogany crossbanding to case and door. The white painted dial with gilt pendant flower heads to arch and spandrels, faintly signed Thomas Radford Leeds and to the verso, the dial with subsidiary seconds and date dials, Osborne iron false plate, and eight day, 2-weight bell strike movement. The case door with shaped top on a plinth base raised on bracket feet. 89″H x 23″W x 11″D, Circa – 1800.
