English Grandfather Clock, likely by George Monks (Prescot, England), large mahogany case with marquetry and ball and claw feet has an overcoated finish, brass dial with roman numerals, serpentine hands and moon phase upper dial, signed "Monks, Prescot," 8-day time and strike movement is typical of English clocks of the period, original cast iron weights and pendulum, upper door with repaired crack, missing seconds hand, not running or striking, 102 in. high x 27 in. wide x 13 in. deep.

English Mahogany Grandfather Clock. Large painted metal dial has a 13 in. chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals, floral painted corner spandrels and country scenic painted arch, has a sub seconds dial over a 31 date sub calendar dial and fancy pierced and engraved gilt hands; signed Robert Wigan, Colne (circa 1820-1830). Brass 8 day weight driven movement has a recoil escapement, one hour rack strike mechanism with drop hammer strike on a steel bell at the top of the movement, brass pulleys and 2 iron weights, brass covered pendulum bob with steel rod. In an English mahogany case with broken arched pediment crest having gilt brass rosettes, eagle and sphere finial, turned corner columns on the bonnet, inset & carved panels in the door and base with turned quarter corner columns. In good condition, has an overcoated finish, nice flame mahogany veneer, a few seam cracks in the veneer but clock is overall very nice. 97 in. high x 12 in. wide x 28 in. deep.

A late 18th century English Grandfather clock. 8 day weight driven time and strike movement by “Jn Dobie, Tanfield”, original Brass dial with cast spandrels, engraved center and subsidiary seconds and date dials, with dual “Rocking Ships” in arch with painted detail. Oak case with dentil molded flat top, arched door and turned columns with cast finials, rectangular waist door above a simple molded base with turned feet. In running order. Case refinished with minor wear, some older repair, replaced feet. 79″ high overall.

Mahogany case with round top hood and molded Brass bezel, rectangular waist door with contrasting veneers and a Brass Presentation plaque dated 1828, above a simple molded base with turned feet. In running order. Case refinished with minor wear, lacks finial and crest, dial repainted. 84″ high overall.

Mahogany Inlaid Grandfather Clock. Brass dial has a 12 in. silvered chapter ring with black incised Roman hour numerals and 5 minute numbers outside, brass sub seconds dial pierced filigree with cherubs heads on the corner spandrels, dolphins on the arch and sub dial for Silent/Chime; has original pierced hands and signed on a silvered tag Lloyd Payne Amiel, Manchester. Brass 8 day weight driven movement has a recoil escapement, rack strike on a coiled gong, quality brass pulleys, missing the 2 weights and has a steel pendulum rod with brass bob. In a Sheraton style inlaid mahogany case with broken arched crest on the bonnet, turned brass center finial, chamfered corners and pierced carved side panels; the body of the case has an urn and filigree inlaid design with griffins head on the door and fancy inlaid design in the base. In good condition, has an age crack in the base and a polished original finish. 90 in. high x 20 in. wide x 14 in. deep.
