Description: English Geo. Chambers Bracket Clock, Circa 1700: The dial is pierced, engraved brass on black velvet with the pendulum aperture. With a T & S 30 Hour gong movement and crown wheel escapement. The case is ebonized wood with brass feet and an arched top. The case and movement appear to be Dutch. Not tested. Description: Continental Floor Clock, Circa 1700’s: In a painted pine case with a green base and primitive designs in red, black and white: The flat topped hood is dated 1739 inside. The arch style dial has a figure of a winged justice in the arch and cherubs in the corners. Dated 1827 at the bottom and initialed “V.S.” There is a 15th or 16th century chamber clock movement with an ornate brass base, steel pillars and plates. The movement has conversions from Foliot to pendulum – anchor escapement and bell to gong strike. The hands and case are considered later additions to the movement. Not tested. Sells as is, where is.
