Elmer Stennes Pillar & Scroll Clock. Painted metal dial has a 10 in. chapter ring with black Arabic hour numbers, gilt beaded minute markers, floral spandrels and pierced black hands, painted bee mark below the chapter ring; brass spring driven movement has rack & snail strike mechanism and strikes on a single strait chime, has a brass pendulum. In a mahogany pillar and scroll case with maple inlay in the crest, brass finials, turned side columns and valance feet; reverse painted lower tablet with oval aperture exposing the pendulum bob and original paper label in the back of the case which reads Pillar & Scroll Clock, Invented by Eli Terry 1814, Made and Sold at Weymouth, Massachusetts by Elmer O. Stennes. Has some minor loss to the veneer. 30 in. high x 17.25 in. wide x 4 in. deep.

Elmer O. Stennes Electric Banjo Clock. 7 in. painted metal dial, has black Roman hour numerals, and fancy black hands, signed Elmer O. Stennes, Weymouth, Mass; the electric Telechron time only movement appears to be original and has a painted red weight baffle. Mahogany presentation banjo case has brass bezel with convex glass, pierced brass side arms, reverse painted throat glass and reverse painted door glass. Clock is in good running condition, original finish and original glasses are in very good condition with no inpainting. 42 in. high x 10 in. wide x 4.5 in. deep

Stennes, Weymouth, Mass. with bee mark, black hour numbers with black minute markers and gilt painted edge; typical brass 8 day time only movement numbered Â4Â, steel pendulum rod with brass bob, lock down hardware and brass pulley with lead weight signed ÂE.O. StennesÂ. Elaborate Girandole presentation banjo case has a large gilt eagle & gilt filigree carved bracket, brass bezel mounted with brass spheres, presentation throat with rope molding and gilt lower door with turned gilt spheres, convex reverse painted Aurora lower tablet glass and reverse painted ÂPatent throat glass. Case is in good condition, repainted with some gilt flaking to the spheres. 45 in. high x 12 in. wide x 5.5 in. deep. Weight: 22 lbs.

Mahogany case has inlaid borders, brass eagle finial, bezel and pierced side arms; reverse painted door and throat glass, door glass signed M.E.R. 1969. in good running condition, original finish. 34.5 in. high
