A late 20th century Elmer O. Stennes Lyre Banjo clock. 8-day weight driven time only movement marked "Kilbourne & Proctor Inc." with a painted metal dial marked "Elmer O. Stennes, Weymouth. Mass." and Roman numerals also marked with a Bee at 6:00. Shaped Mahogany case with carved foliate finial above a circular Brass upper door and carved Lyre throat panel with reverse painted glass over molded lower drop with carved detail and acorn finial. The case is stamped with "12" in several locations. Minor case and finish wear, running when cataloged. 39 3/4" high overall. ESTIMATE $2,000-3,000

Stenned, Weymouth, Mass and has the bee mark on the dial; has a quality brass, weight driven time only movement, No. 5, signed E.O. Stennes, Weymouth, Mass. Recoil escapement, lead weight signed E. Howard & Co, brass pulley and brass covered pendulum bob with steel stick and lock-down hardware on the baffle. Mahogany case has inlaid borders, brass eagle finial, bezel and pierced side arms; reverse painted door and throat glass, door glass signed M.E.R. 1969. in good running condition, original finish. 34.5 in. high

Stennes Tall Case Clock. 11 in. painted metal dial with black hour numbers, sub seconds dial & sub calendar dial, roses on the corner spandrels, painted moon phase dial, fancy blued hands and signed Elmer O. Stennes, Weymouth, Mass; brass weight driven movement with Graham deadbeat escapement, brass covered weights & pendulum bob with steel stick, brass pulleys and half hour strike on a coiled gong. In a mahogany case with pierced carved crest, polished gilt brass finials, banded inlays on the door, turned corner columns on the bonnet; the body of the case has turned and fluted quarter columns with brass capitols and inlaid borders with quarter fan inlaid highlights at the corners. In excellent condition, original finish. 85 in. high x 19 in. wide x 11 in. deep.
